- Answers —Mitch Golant, Ph.D.: The programs of yoga should match your own ability. There are many different types of yoga, if you decide that is what you want to do.

Some yoga classes are really rigorous, where they put you in a very hot room and make you work out during the entire class. And then there are other yoga classes that are much more relaxed and meditative, focusing more on stretching and posture, tone, and concentration. It is important to be gentle and kind to your body as you try to recover.
