postmenopausal bleeding

(POST-men-uh-PAWZ-ul BLEED-ing)

This refers to vaginal bleeding that occurs after a woman's periods have stopped (menopause). It may be caused by something that's not a cancer (like an endometrial polyp). Or it may be caused by a cancer. Tell your doctor if you have this problem.
