nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs [also called NSAIDs]

(NON-stir-oyd-ul ANT-eye-in-FLAM-it-or-ee DRUGS)

A group of drugs that reduce fever, swelling, pain, and redness. They belong to a family of drugs called non-narcotic analgesics (also called non-opioids).
