LHRH agonists [also called luteinizing hormone-releasing hormone agonists]
Drugs that lower the amount of sex hormones in the body. In women, they cause the levels of estrogen and other sex hormones to fall. In men, they cause testosterone levels to fall.
LHRH agonists include Lupron (chemical name: leuprolide), Trelstar (chemical name: triptorelin), and Zoladex (chemical name: goserelin).
