ERDs [also called estrogen receptor downregulators]

(EE ARE DEEZ)

A group of drugs used against estrogen receptors found on breast cancer cells. When the receptors stop working, the cells get fewer signals telling them to grow. This can slow down or stop the growth of the cancer. Faslodex (chemical name: fulvestrant) belongs to this group of drugs.
