(KLOD-run-ate)
A drug used to lower high calcium levels in the blood. It's also used to build up bone strength in women with cancer that has spread to the bone (bone metastases). It may lower pain and the risk of fractures. It may also slow the growth of bone metastases and lower the risk of new ones. (This is still under study.)
